Brunetti – 163 Tanglin Road (Tanglin Mall)

Post by Kristyn

In my quest to find Chai latte in Singapore (why is it so hard?), our friends Paul & Phoebe made mention that in fact the Melbourne cake institution Brunetti’s now had opened in Singapore, and they were selling chai lattes.  This to me sounded like we needed to make a hike to Tanglin Mall.  Now Tanglin Mall is at the very end of Orchard Road, and James and I one Sunday thought that we’d go and check it out.  So we caught the train to Orchard station, and got onto Orchard Road and started to walk.  Now Orchard Road on a Sunday is MENTAL.  It’s maids day off here, so most of them end up down on Orchard Road along with all of the tourists here for the GSS.  So after battling through the crowds for 5-10 mins I make mention to James that it looks as though we are heading in the wrong direction...and yep we were!  So we quickly jumped onto the a lot quieter street of Orchard Boulevard and headed the correct way.   When we finally get to Brunetti, it is exactly as Brunetti in Melbourne looks.  So I order us some macaroons, cannoli’s and my tea2 chai latte and life is good.  The macaroon’s and cannoli’s were typically great Brunetti’s and the chai latte for my first one in Singapore was great!  If only Brunetti’s were a lot closer, although my waist line is thinking that might just be a bad thing. http://www.brunetti.com.au/
