Takeaway Pizza from The Foundry

Post by James
The Foundry which is a restaurant area comprising of different businesses such as a bar, thai food, Indian food and western food.  We have eaten there several times but limited ourselves to the Thai food every time – which is really good!  So we decided to branch out and try a pizza from the ‘The Better Burger’ place in next door which sells (you guessed it) Burgers and Pizzas.
The first warning came when we had to decide on the size of the pizza.  Basically, we had a choice of tiny, medium (which I could eat by myself if pushed) or absolutely massive!  Price wise, the medium was about S$18-23 while the ‘Massive’ was around the S$40 mark.  We opted for the Medium despite my objections that it wouldn’t be enough to feed the both of us, so we compromised with a Greek salad as well.

On the way back home we decided to buy a bottle of wine from the Wine Connection.  We ended up with an ok Sancerre (French Sav Blanc) for about S$38. When we arrived back home I couldn’t wait to tuck in to our new found box’o’joy, until I opened the lid.  It looked like a pizza, but did it taste like one?
Sadly, No.  It was bland, not enough sauce, thick dough with minimal topping. One which we certainly won’t be going back for!
Thank goodness we had the bottle of wine, otherwise the night would have been a complete failure…
